Yukon Mobile Meals

"Our purpose shall be to provide meals for elderly, handicapped, or convalescing persons unable to prepare their own meals."

Our goals

Goal One

To extend caring beyond the delivery of a meal by serving as a regular check-in with each homebound person that receives a meal.

Goal two

To provide one nutritional meal per day to a disabled or frail elderly person five days a week.

Goal three

To help our clients sustain independence and enhance their quality of life by delivering nutritious food.

Donate

Why donate?

Yukon Mobile Meals delivers meals five days a week, Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays. Meals are delivered by volunteers between 10:45 a.m. and noon. Currently, the program delivers meals to 81 elderly or homebound individuals, many of whom are unable to pay for their own meals.

How much should I donate?

A suggested donation of $1.50 per meal is requested of each meal recipient. However, those who can not pay will not be denied. This means that for around $30, you could sponsor 1 person for a whole month. Any donation amount is put to good use, and is greatly appreciated.

Who benefits from my donation?

Yukon Mobile Meals provides service to persons residing within the city limits of Yukon who are aged, homebound, handicapped or convalescing, and are unable to prepare a meal themselves. You can make a donation to sponsor a specific person, or make a general donation to sponsor anyone in need.
