Our goals

Goal One

To extend caring beyond the delivery of a meal by serving as a regular check-in with each homebound person that receives a meal.

Goal two

To provide one nutritional meal per day to a disabled or frail elderly person five days a week.

Goal three

To help our clients sustain independence and enhance their quality of life by delivering nutritious food.

Donate

Why donate?

Yukon Mobile Meals delivers meals five days a week, Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays. Meals are delivered by volunteers between 10:45 a.m. and noon. Currently, the program delivers meals to 81 elderly or homebound individuals, many of whom are unable to pay for their own meals.

How much should I donate?

A suggested donation of $3.00 per meal is requested of each meal recipient. However, those who can not pay will not be denied. Any donation amount is put to good use, and is greatly appreciated.

Who benefits from my donation?

Yukon Mobile Meals provides service to persons residing within the city limits of Yukon who are aged, homebound, handicapped or convalescing, and are unable to prepare a meal themselves. You can make a donation to sponsor a specific person, or make a general donation to sponsor anyone in need.

Who can qualify for services?

How much does it cost?

A suggested donation of $3 per meal is requested of each meal recipient. However, those who can not pay will not be denied.

Is there a special diet?

No. We plan a balanced meal daily to provide our clients with essential nutrients. Although there is no choice of menu, we are occasionally are able to send a sugar-free dessert to our diabetic recipients.

How can I get involved?

There are many opportunities for service with Yukon Mobile Meals. Volunteer options are available. We schedule volunteers to their availability. We also have sponsorship opportunities.

How much is a sponsorship?

It only costs $3/day to sponsor a meal. You can sponsor a week of meals for $15.00, or monthly for $60. To sponsor 6 months of meals, the cost $360.

What if I will miss a day?

Recipients not needing a meal on any given day, for any reason, must notify the Mobile Meals program director at (405) 350-5900 by 9:00 a.m. to ensure time to process the cancellation.
